question about treatment for cutaneous T cell lymphoma

Post a new topicby sue2u2008 on Thu Dec 18, 2008 12:06 pm

My sister in law was diagnosed with cutaneous t cell lymphoma. Blood tests show it has not spread any further than a small rash. She was recently treated with UVB for about a month while she was here and it was shrinking the rash but she was given the okay to go back to a foreign country, where she does volunteer work. The spot is now back about the same size as it was 6 months ago. She is considering a hand held UVB light to use herself, but we were told this was not necessary and the size of the spot doesn't affect her condition and that even if she had no further treatment until June she would be fine. Does anyone have any further information they can give us as to whether it is important to reduce the size of the rash or does this have a bearing on the progression of cutaneous t cell lymphoma. Thankyou for any information you can give us.
