Prostate volume discrepancy

Post a new topicby ktown7 on Sun Jan 13, 2008 12:15 pm

I had an ultrasound along with a prostate biopsy in Aug. 2007 the recorded volume was 15 cc, which I have been told is to low to receive seed implants.
After recently consulting a radiologist and having a CT scan done to verify this I am now being told the volume is 32 cc - 15% = 29 cc and seed implantation is a viable treatment.
Which is more accurate and why the discrepancy? 15 cc vs. 29 cc is nearly double, I don't know which to believe.
I am tentatively scheduled for DaVinci Robotic surgery on 2/20/08 and need some advice ASAP.

Had I seen your questions earlier I'd have suggested questioning both results, after all you are entitled to accurate findings. However you'll have had your Robotic Surgery by now, and I can only hope your results are as good as mine with the Da Vinci system.
