my far possibly misdiagnosed two years ago an infection. his psa level above 10, after "infection" treated, it never wnet down below 4.5. he had a biopsy yesturday, so he won't have results a while, I wondering some of alternative rapy option type of cancer. he is relatively ng (57) i know he does not want to risk erectile disfunction can often accompany radiation surgery. any suggestions or than hormone rapy?

I would suggest waiting until the biopsy results are in. In general the least erectily dysfunction comes from radiation therapy while the most comes from surgery followed closely by hormonal therapy. I know of no alternative therapies which have been proven via scientific scrutiny to be of benefit. Thank you for using oncologychannel and good luck.
