I have been on Lupron for 14 months. The side effects are awful. Do they ever get better?

Lupron has been recommended for me. What side affect are you experiencing? What are you doing to combate the side affects? Has your prostate conditions improved? What is your age?

I am 58 years old. I have advanced prostate cancer with metastases to my lymph nodes and back. My side effects are as follows: impotence, loss of libido, fatigue, loss of mucles, weight gain, hot flashes, emotions are out of whack, anxiety, some depression, hard to focus on some things, bouts of nausea, change in body hair. As you can see I have a bunch of side effects, but the Lupron is keeping my PSA at about "0". It is helping me to live longer. No other options are available for me. You can get medication for the nausea, anxiety, depression, and hot flashes. Not much you can do about the others. One very important thing to remember is that every man is different. You may have very few side effects. For me, they are worth it if they extend my life .

I wish you the best, and please keep me in touch on how you are doing.
