Pancreatic Cancer

For every type of cancer, there are survivors….this is a statement that I had to keep repeating to myself. In January 2003 my husband was hospitalized with pancreatitis. The CT scan, however, showed a mass in his pancreas and two tumors in his liver. A biopsy of the liver showed that he had pancreatic cancer with metastis to his liver. I was just sitting here absorbing as much info about this disease and feeling like there was no hope for more than maybe a year. Reading your post has given me hope again. My brother was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer in Dec 2008 and is having Chemo and Tarceva. For every cancer there are survivors. My prayer is that my brother will be counted along with your husband as one of the survivors. Their story and treatment may lead to better treatment and eventually a cure.
