Pancreatic Cancer

My father was diagnosed 4 days before he died of pancreatic cancer. It had spread to his liver. He had diahrea for almost 12 months prior. He was a type 1 diabetic. He saw specialist after specialist all checking minor things only.
He was 57 years old. The last 3 weeks before he died they finally decided to look at his pancreas. By then he was full of blood clots in his legs and severe back pain. I only wish and wonder if they could have found it earlier, would he still be alive today?
