I don't know what to thinkMy mum had a short gastro illness. She went to see her GP which was unusual for her and he referred he for an abdoinal unltra sound, bloodwork and an MRI
The results for the ultrasound said she had a large mass on her ovary. She had the MRI and it said she had an 18cm by 16cm complex ovarian neoplasm mostly solid, free fluid in her abdominal cavity, metastases, a small pleural effusion involvement of the omentum, intra abdominal spread, likley involvement of the lymph nodes, something called a splenunculum. It mentioned peritoneal omething but I can't recall. She has now got her bloodwork back and her CA125 is 1950 and suggestion of a tumor. I guess I want to know whether this is suggesting malignancy, because it doesn't sound good. Her gynacologist hasn't said anything, he is waiting for her surgery, which has not yet been bookd b the hospital. I want to be prepared, so I don't fail her by falling apart when she needs us the most. My brother and sister will not be much help.
