Oral Cancer

My Mother was diagnosed with tonsilar cancer three years ago. She underwent surgery to remove the cancer, radiation (which destroyed her salivary glands and tissue in her throat). She is now undergoing chemo Tarceva 100 mg. every other day to see if she can tolerate this new treatment. She was unable to undergo treatment on 100 mg per day because of mouth sores and horrible burning of her tongue and now throat.
I don’t think this is going to work either.
