Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma

My granddad has had lymphoma before and it has been in remission for three years, but recently, he has lost a lot of weight, lost his appetite, and falls asleep really easy, even on his off days from work. my grandmother thinks that his cancer's back, and I wish he'd go to the doctor, but he won't. I know he's afraid but we've got to know if it's back. Would those signs be indicative of returning lymphoma?
