Hi im scared and new in hereHi my name is Jan, im 47 with a 7 year old little boy whom im bringing up on my own. Back in August of last year i was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Folicular Lmyphoma Low Grade B. I dont understand the grading as i have only just come to terms with the fact that i have this disease. I have to go and see my Heamatologist tomorrow to get the results of my last blood test after having 12 doses of Radiothreapy. Im not really sure what the next step is.
Any way i just thought i would pop in and intruduce myself. Jan
Re: Hi im scared and new in hereHi Jan,
I see your post was back in January, I'm hoping you check back on this site. I'm interested in your radiation therapy. I'm 43 and had a colonoscopy that thursday and the path report came back that I have follicular lymohoma. I've been reading up on treatment and radiation seems to come up as first treatment. Can you give me some insite on your experience with radiation. hope your feeling better
Re: Hi im scared and new in hereHi Jan,
My mom (62) was just diagnosed a few days ago with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Her marrow test will be back any day now, and they will nail it down better what she has and stages. The treatment is still undetermined, they originally suggested chemotherapy. I am so scared for my mother, I can only imagine what your little is thinking too, as I am 39. Go to Cedar Sinai web-site - I found that quite helpful for info on diseases, and what to expect, and treatments. We are still waiting for exact results. Please keep your chin up and I will say prayers for everyone who is on this forum and not. Positive thinking will do wonders. I am also spending as much time with my mother as I can. Take care and keep the forum posted.
