I am a 38 yr old single mother of two young children, diagnosed in May of 2005 with B-Cell Large Diffused NHL, Stage 1A. For a few months before my diagnosis, I had rashes on both of my shins, and a dull pain radiating down the left side of my arm. I had basically the same symptoms. Left arm ache, rash that I called hives, sufferd for nearly 6 weeks chasing them through my body trying 2 steroid treatments plus over the counter itch medicines. Then the development of the dry cough. My fateful day for diagnosis was lack of air. This was a defining moment that made me go to the doctor. (A year earler with symptoms that worried me, no one ever did a chest x-ray). This tumor was the size of a baseball. After the opinions to include Dana Farber the course was chemo & radiation. 6 rounds of rituxon & chop therapy. Radiation for a month. The scar tissue is the size of my pinky fingernail. The statement you made regarding not having radiation has me intrigued since my odds of it coming back were 70/30 70 NOT

I cannot say that I know what you have been through or are going through by way of personal experience. However, my mother had Non Hodgkins Lymphoma for 9 years, and I know what kind of impact it had on me, at the time, a young girl. I have so much respect for my mother and the battle that she fought, and although I do not know you, I have so much respect for you, as well. I was a first hand witness to the way that cancer tries to rip your world apart, and a witness to a strong lady not willing to let it win. God bless you, your children, and your fight, as you will be in my prayers. I have learned that there are many things that cancer can do, but many more that cancer CANNOT do. God Bless---
