small cell carcinomaDear Doctor,
My uncle, 62 years old, just had an operation. We seek for treatment solutions, any new treatment? The following is his case: 2 cm peripherial small cell carcinoma in the right lower lobe, with 3.1 cm hilar lymphadenopathy as well as 2 additional pulmonary nodules. No distant metastasis to brain, liver, bone, etc. Stage 2. Any successful treatment are appreciated very much. Mingming
Re: small cell carcinomaUnfortunately it is not appropriate for me to suggest treatments over the internet, so I cannot help you. typically chemotherapy and radiation are the mainstay of treatment but his oncologist needs to decide what is best for him.

Re: Re: small cell carcinomaThanks for reply.
I wonder where is the way to track new treatment in this area, including trials. Such as website, phone, mailbox..., any help appreciated very much. Re: Re: Re: small cell carcinomayou can check this website under clinical trials and it will lead you to a website that lists clinical trials. also try the websites for the national cancer institute and sloan-kettering hospital in NYC. they are excellent resources for lung cancer information.
