Pleurodesis

Have you ever heard of having pleurodesis done and instead of bonding, the talc or agent used turns into a gel and it causes breathing difficulty? I was told the ONLY way to "fix" this was to do surgery to get rid of the gel???

it is possible the material they used for the pleurodesis did not have the desired effect and ended up as a thick gel like material in the chest. Surgery is the only good choice for these kind of conditions.
