Chemotherapy

Post a new topicby Kittykoo on Thu Oct 01, 2009 8:59 am

Hi folks, I'm new to this forum thing but not new to cancer unfortunately. My dad was diagnosed 2 years ago with an inoperable cancer tumor in his stomach. He had radiation and it slowed the growth. It's now spread to lungs and he's having chemo once every three weeks. He's had one treatment. His breathing has become very laboured and he's using oxygen at home. He was feeling only tired for a few days after chemo but is now sick and very, very tired. I'm wondering is it really working...the doctors tell us that they will know by his next treatment (Oct 15th) if it's doing anything. If it isn't they won't give him another one. My dad is so tired of being tired....can anyone tell me if they think this is really working...he's just so weak...

Thanks
