My daughter, age 45, was just diagnosed with adenocarcinoma. She has a lung tumor that is on the chest wall and there is something on her adrenals. She looks healthy; she has gained 25 pounds inthe past 6 mos.; and everything else is normal. So, I started reading the statistics and am in a state of utter despair. She has been to Sloane in NYC, My Sinai and they both agreed ont he diagnosis. She is to start chemo this coming week. She doesn't have a sense of prognosis. I looked on line; it is awful. Is there really any hope?
