is there any one out there know anyone who was on Submarines or work at any Naval Shipyard that got AML?
I read one post that one person had herpes simples. well when my John was in the navy he always had that too. we where in San Diego at the time.
They have been tell me it hard to fine out what really cause AML-M2. but I know it was from explorer to radiation ,and when John was on Submarines and at the shipyard he was explores to cadmium and lead.

Hi Janet,
My Mom has it and they told her it was a chromosome issue, but she lived for 45 years in a uranium mill town...I've heard of others from my home town who also had AML.
Can you fill me in on what to expect? My mom was just diagnosed, cannot take the treatments, and they've basically told her there's nothing they can do for her. They describe her condition as 'aggressive' and 'a short-lived course'. SHe lives far away from me so I don't know how long I have to prepare things here to go be with her, or if she should even be alone. If you'd be so kind as to share your experience, it would sure help my family. Thank you.
