High CBC?

Post a new topicby Doc SteveO on Sun Sep 23, 2007 8:24 pm

I don't know if I have Leukemia, something else, or perhaps nothing. I have been referrd to a Hemo guy. But my doctor told me my last test showed high (above the upper limit) in all three areas of the CBC: Red Cells, White Cells, and Platelets. He said they have been climbing steadily over the past three years (news to me), but were now above the limit.

I haven't been able to figure out what this means. Can someone give me a little insight on this?

Thanks,

Steve O.

Sounds like it maybe a Myeloproliferative disorder. Which are a group of conditions that cause an overproduction of blood cells, white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets in the bone marrow. Good luck
