I am experiencing gout for the first time. Was in the ER last night the pain was so bad. Labwork was done, I was told the Uric Acid was high but still within the normal range, but because it was high I was still DX with Gout. I asked for my labs but was told I couldn't have them, my PCP would have to request them.. I am doing a follow-up with him tomorrow. I have read about a connection between Gout and CLL. I have none of the triggers for Gout, don't drink Beer, have occasional glass of red wine with dinner, not a meat eater or fried food fan. The ER DR. was evasive when I asked about the cause of my Gout, "just f/u with your PCP"
Has anyone out there heard of the connection between Gout and CLL?

My father is in the hospital with CLL, he got really sick and needed blood transfusions, they also said he has gout. He was never a drinker, we don't know how or why he got CLL or gout but he has them both. Best Wishes

Thanks for your reply, I am getting more bloodwork done the ER DR. didn't do anything but Uric Adic! Best wishes to you and your father, it sounds like CLL is manageable when detected.

I never thought about it but I am getting gout and it is deforming the first knuckles on my pointer and middle fingers of both hands, no pain at all. Will ask my doc when I go to him next week.
