Father diagnost with ALL doctor won't treat!!!!!My father is a relatively healthy 70 year old. He went to the doctor last month and was diagnosed with blood clots in his legs. During his stay in the hospital the doctors ran test and a month last informed my parents that my dad has ALL. The oncologist told them that he was to old for treatment and that it was best to live his days out at home. We are looking for some answers. Other than the blood clots my dad feels fine and does not exhibit any signs of being ill. PLEASE I need to know if there is anything out there that can extend his life expectancy.
Re: Father diagnost with ALL doctor won't treat!!!!!I would listen to the Docs and put off chemo or other treatments until necessary. After going through this with my sister and saw the affects the treatments had on her and actually did little in the way of curing her, I decided when I was diagnosed (3 weeks after she passed away) and the Docs took a wait and see and put off treatments I followed their advice and have been pretty healthy for 3 years now. No side affects from treatments because I had none. I am 62 and the Doc said it might be 15 years before I needed treatments. I will take it...
