CLL

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Jan 03, 2002 11:16 am

good morning
i am a 58 year old female just diagnosed with cll. i have been told what symptoms to watch-out for, but i dont understand why no medications or treatments are given till further symtoms appear. why is it "wait and watch"
also i have pain in one arm from elbow to wrist (which has just been x-rayed) is it possible that cancer has gone into the bone?
thank you for your help.

Hi Brenda,

My husband was diagnosed with CLL in September of 2002. He is just 40 years old. So far he has just had swollen nodes in his neck. Other than being tired he is fine. We just recently were told that because of his young age, he should see if his siblings would be a match for a bone marrow transplant when and if needed. So we just had both of them tested and are waiting for the results. That is the worse part just waiting to see what is going to happen next. I hope you are feeling fine and my prayers go out to each and everyone who has been stricken with this desease. Mary If you need someone to talk with just e-mail at SspiritofUSA@aol.com
