Children and Leukemia

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Mar 08, 2005 10:38 am

I was wondering what the chances are of a child being diagnosed with Leukemia several months after having a fractured bone? MRI test are inconclusive, next step is a Cat-Scan and depending on those results there will be a test done on the white blood cells, however I forget the name of the test. Please someone reply.

You should take your kid to see a doctor asap. My nephew (2 years old) broke his arm in Dec 2007 then was diagnosed with leukemia in early Jan 2007.

He's going through chemotherapy and no bone marrow transplant is necessary. Can someone tell me that this is a good sign? I'm worry sick about my nephew and wonder if remission is high for toddler? Is there anything I can do to help my nephew?

Thanks!
