Re: TypesJust a small note, but perhaps an important one for a patient that is diagnosed with CML. While there is no "cure", per se, there is a promising long term treatment called Gleevec (imatinib) that was specifically designed to target CML for Philadelphia chromosome positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML) and KIT-positive gastrointestinal stromal tumors (KIT+ GIST).
