Where to go for help.I had labs done in July and everything including Thyroid, PTH came back normal except calcium is below normal. I started taking calcium supplements and have since been retested twice with still low calcium levels. My PCP wants me to go to an endocronologist but I feel the problem may be kidney related. My left kidney bothers me and I am also having leg cramps at night and weird feeling around my lips. I had a kidney stone removed three years ago and know I have another one because after the stone was removed I had another xray three months later because of the left kidney pain. I didn't have it removed and wondering could this be the cause of the low calcium? Could this be causing kidney failure? Thank you for any advise. I should mention my thyroid was removed four years ago and maybe that is why my PCP wants me to go to the endo.
Re: Where to go for help.Your low calcium is not being caused by a kidney stone, make sure you see the endocrinologist, good luck
