lower back pain

Post a new topicby tigger08 on Tue Aug 19, 2008 1:20 pm

Had my bladder, prostate and whatever else they could find in January this year. In the last week or two have been getting an intermittent pain in my back on the lower right side about the belt line. Hard to pinpoint the exact location. Not really painful and comes and goes. Doctor thought it might be back strain but ordered blood tests just in case. Since I've had bladder cancer, have been concerned about recurrence even though the specialist says they got it all. The last ultrasound was in late June. Is the type of pain consistent with symptoms of kidney cancer? I have no other symptoms.

Kidney Cancer can cause lower back pain, but there are a 1000 other things that can cause lower back pain, This is something for your doctor to look into for your individual case. I assume from your history that you had a CT scan and ultrasound and thse tests would have likely identified Kidney Cancer which grows very slowly if it was there at the time of the tests. .
