Surviving 2 Primary Cancers–5 years and counting!

Seven months after bilateral mastectomies, while getting a CT scan as a follow up to that specific cancer, a suspicious lymph node was found in my abdomen. A PET scan clearly indicated that exploratory surgery was indicated. After 8 hours of surgery, I got scary and unbelievable news. I had another cancer (not a metastasis) called primary peritoneal carcinoma–a very rare disease.
