Gastric Cancer

All the early tests showed that my very healthy 55 year old wife had stage 2 stomach cancer. Now, she has been shown post partial gastrectomy partial esophogectomy as stage 3a.
Can anyone share positive results after surgery and chemo radiation?
All I see is the bad news. I am just trusting in God, what else can I do? Thanks for your response
