My Mom was diagnosed in Aug 2007 with Stomach cancer. After going through 9 months or so of other, more common, diagnoses. It began with bouts of diarrhea after most meals. The doctor said that they were not sure if the cancer had spread but were going to begin a regimen of chemo for 9 weeks, then determine if it had spread and whether or not to operate. She also had to take 5 Xeloda chemo pills for 3 weeks, one week off, then begin again.

Your Mom needs to have a PET Scan it will show the extent of the cancer i will pray for your mom wife has stage 3

Did your mother have any kind of surgery done on her stomach? My father who was just diagnosed with stage 4 had surgery a couple weeks ago and about a week ago he had a fever of 103 due to an infection caused by bacteria that was found in his blood. I believe that this bacteria came from the area they did surgery on. These kinds of infections are very common after surgery or time spent in a hospital.
