What can show up as white on a brain ct scan- Water,CSF,Blood,dead tissue,Air ?

I had vast areas of pure white on mine especially at the eye level,in addition to around the entire brain perimeter.

Can a viral infection show up this way?

The bright shell that encircles the brain on CT is the skull. The bones of the skull are extremely dense and are assigned white on CT scans.
If the meninges (lining of the brain) become inflammed by viruses or bacteria, they can also look whitish on CT scans especially those where IV contrast has been used.
