A few more answeres Needed,...My question is: I spent 2hrs having an MRI scan done of my Brachial Plexus and of my Cerviacal Spine. It was originally to take one hour. (Which I mentiond in a previous post) After being let out of the 2hr scan I was extremly stiff and almost rigid in feeling. I was extremely dizzy, and came close to passing out. Are these symptoms a direct cause from the MRI itself? Besides that, I spasmed on and off throughout the scan. Fortunatly, was not enough to have to redo the scans. If not related to the MRI then what other possibiltes could there be? One Last thing, Why are Radiologists not allowed to tell the patient the information regarding their scan? Thanks for the Help!
Re: A few more answeres Needed,...Without knowing more about you and your medical history, it would be difficult to comment on your particular experience. Being in a confined space for a period of time is unpleasent and patients seem to have a spectrum of problems, none of which are serious or longstanding.
As a radiologist, I am always ready to discuss findings with patients if they are interested. But our expertise is in interpreting images and not diagnosing disease from symptoms.
