pain and inability to control defecation after colon surgery

Post a new topicby delbabyboy on Sat Jul 11, 2009 11:45 am

I had colon resection around 2.5 years ago for colorectal cancer. I had radiation prior to the surgical resection then chemo(5FU/Oxaliplatin) My CEAs have been stable (not changing) @1.7 for several onths but I have been unable to get back to work because I am unable to sit for long periods of time nor control flatus or defecation. When its time to go I can't stop it. This occurs often thru out the day with watery stools. I work in a field where I have to sit with clients for long periods and it is cause for me to consider disability. Any comments would be helpful.

Thanks
