Taxotere extravasation

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Jul 17, 2002 5:34 am

I have noted multiple skin eruptions or blisters at the infusion site of taxotere, the largest eruption with a very small extravasation of taxotere, and no extravasation with the other infusion sites. The dose is 50 mg in 250ccNS infused over 1 hour. Are there any recommendations to counter any extravasation of taxotere (antidote)? and secondly is this localized blistering at the infusion site common even with good blood return and no extravasation ??
