Lost and Confused.

Post a new topicby ladi on Sat Jan 19, 2008 4:36 pm

Hi, I am a 25 year old from Colorado. I recieved a certified letter today in the mail with the news that i have cervical cancer. I went to see my doctor Aug of 2006 for a colposcpy and i finally got a letter telling me about the cancer. I am not sure what to do. I think they should have contacted me shortly after i was diagnosed. I really don't knw anything about cervical cancer. So if there is anyone out here that can help me on this i would really appreciate sum advice. I am so lost and confused. Is their any kind of treatment for it? And will i ever be able to have anymore children after it is cured if there is a cure for it?

I don't know if there is a way I can talk to you privately through a private message, I"m new to this forum. But honey, you need to get yourself to an oncologist asap. Find out if in fact you have cervical cancer or if it's dysplascia. Either way, you should also sue the pants off that doctor. He or she should have contacted you as soon as they got the colpo results. Cervical cancer is normally a slow growing cancer but often it can spread very quickly.

I was recently diagnosed. I have been getting paps, colpos, and biopsies every 6 months for years. My docs simply missed the fact that tumors can grow on the top of the cervix. Now I have full blow very serious cancer.

Definately get yourself back to a doc or to a gyne oncologist asap.
