Cervical Cancer

Im after some advice! After my recent smear the lab phoned my GP and i have been urgently refered to a specialist. I understand that it is quite common for changes in cells to appear and need to be monitored but why is it all so urgent? Its this that worries me. i have my appointment tomorrow x many thanks x
