what can i do

Post a new topicby jennykl on Tue Jul 01, 2008 11:45 pm

My friends brother has recently been diagnosed with brain cancer I feel for his brother and him seeing as he is trying desperately to make his brother comfortable and take care of him. Both are making sacrifices and battling every day. I want to help so badly but I feel at a loss of things to say or do. I try and just talk to him but there’s always that elephant in the room that I never want to bring up because I think that he doesn’t want to talk about it. I try and offer to do things but there never seems to be much I can do. I try to make him laugh and smile to help relieve the pain and stress just for a minute. But I feel like I’m running out of ways to help my friend and his family. How do I show my support and offer my hand without stepping on toes or getting in anyone’s way? Please, I would love any suggestions and advice.
