Pineal Tumor

Post a new topicby Mario NL on Mon Nov 24, 2008 6:15 am

Hi, I am based in Jakarta. My youngest brother, Anthony, 23, is diagnosed by the doctors to be having a malignant tumor (pineal tumor). Size of the tumor is 2.5 X 2.7 X 4.3 cm, located nearby the Ventricle IV.

The symptoms were bad headache, nausea, double vision, hearing problem (buzzing), and lack of coordination in walking. Last week, the doctors operated on him, to take out the excessive brain fluid (CSF) and put in the vp shunt from the brain down to the belly area As of now, he is recovering quickly. The only remaining thing is the double vision.

Doctors here are suggesting us to take the radiation treatment immediately. It would take 25 days to accomplish the whole process, about which is still considered by our family.

Please share me your view in the case you have the same situation as what i have right now, Pineal Tumor.

Regards
Mario
