brain cancer story

Post a new topicby jphuriphan on Mon Mar 31, 2008 3:16 pm

Hello. I am new to this website, but needed to find a place to vent my emotions. My father's wife was diagnosed with breast cancer 10 years ago. She had her breast removed and moved on with life. 8 years later it had metastisized (sp) to her brain. She had a brain tumor and it was removed. After years of chemo and radiation, there are still massess in her lung and brain. The treatment is not really helping anymore at this point, as everything just keeps growing. I feel very bad for my father and of course for her as well. I was just wondering if there is anybody else out there going thru this. I never really got close to her, but I feel very sad that she may be leaving us in the near future. I realize that she has children of her own who will be very sad along with my father. It is all just very depressing.....

Wow! Your story is very close to mine. I just found out today that my mom now has brain cancer. I thought breast cancer 8 yrs ago was devastating enough. And I didn't think it could get any worse after she has been having chemo and radiation for the past few years to treat the lung cancer.
Now this blow is like none other. It's hard to even go on....
