Behaviour decline despite "success"? Please assist

Post a new topicby tanie on Sat Dec 22, 2007 7:52 pm

Perhaps someone could help me out as I feel like I am wandering in circles all the time. My ex partner had a grade 3 anaplastic anacytoma tumour removed a year ago. The surgery was deemed successful and followed by chemo and radio therapies. The latest tests show that there seems to be no regrowth of the tumor and the doctors say they are satisfied. Despite this, Tommy is declining. He has had 2 epileptic seizures in the last 6 months and each time we seem to go back to basics. There is little short term memory and his right side has very limited movement. Speech is worsening and there seems to be nothing anyone can do. I am in Prague and do not speak the language and am thus so confused as to how this can be the case. Postoperative behaviour was far more advanced than the current state. If anyone can help me out at all with any form of info at all, it woud be so welcome. Are there any dietary plans which may assist? Anything at all. We have a 5 year old son together and I want to do anything I can to give them a future together.
Many thanks in advance, Tanie

May I just add that the tumour type is anaplastic astrocytoma. My typo above would make it seem as though I am too disinterested to even know the type!
Thanks in advance again, Tanie

I don't live in the US. I am British and living in Prague, Czech Republic.
