Father had a brain tumor - now diagnosis as cancerMy father had weakness on his right side - arm, hand, leg 5 weeks ago. After MRI they diagnosis not a stroke or TIA but a brain tumor - Meningitis…2 weeks ago they removed the tumor that was the size of the surgeons fist, however, one portion that invaded the brain has now been diagnosised as cancer. Re: Father had a brain tumor - now diagnosis as cancerYour story is the exact opposite to mine. My Mum was diagnosed with Grade 4 brain cancerover a year ago. At no point has she every been told that it is terminal. I found out by reading websites and when I questioned the oncologist he responded by saying "some people manage to live up to two years, given your Mum's age, I do no see that being the case". She has still never been told and we are too scared to do so. I also believe that she will fight much harder believing that there is something to fight for. We keep waiting for the doctors to tell her but they have chosen not to. This also makes us believe that it is not a bad decision to take as they have experienced more than us
