He has developed some terrible burning when he urinates, we've tried 2 different meds with no relief, now the doctor says it appears not to be a urinary tract infection What is causing the burning, does anyone know? I feel so bad for him.

it really depends on what he had done, could be from the instrumentation or just healing in his bladder if he had a recent resection of a tumor. A medication called Pyridium may give some relief.
