Muscle invasive bladder cancer

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Jun 07, 2001 11:16 pm

Hello...I've posted here in the past and you've been very helpful. My 82yr old father is scheduled to start radiation on his bladder. We're also waiting on results of a bone scan. The past two weeks, my father can't stand up. He gets very dizzy and disoriented. He went to his regular MD today, and he's making an appointment with a neurologist. Do you think this could be related to the cancer? If so, how? Thank you.

While it is theoretically possible for bladder cancer to spread to the central nervous system, my guess his symptoms are more likely related to the other ills that bother men his age (often vascular). The neurologist will be able to sort it out.
