Bladder Cancer

My 70 year old uncle was just diagnosed with bladder cancer I have limited information due to the fact that he is 5000 miles away and not medically inclined. They say most of his pain is coming from a muscle spasm and they are going to cut that muscle. I don't know that name of the muscle and cannot find any info on that type of procedure. Does anyone have any information that might be helpful so I can do some research?
