Bladder Cancer

My Mother recently was diagnosed with Cancer of the Bladder. She has since gone through laser surgery to remove the cancerous parts and then went through five sessions of Chemo
My question is, the surgery was in June and she still experiences occasional bleeding in her urinary tract. After five months should this still be occurring?
